Nowhere
is gravity's heavy hand more visible than
in the drooping jowl line, sagging brow and upper eyelids of
an aging face. Depending on genetics, these signs usually
begin to show in early middle years and intensify the older
a person becomes. In spite of the advertising, no amount of
creams, lotions or paraphernalia can stop the process. The changes
are normal and will continue no matter what a person does or
doesn't do. However, there are factors that can exacerbate facial
aging. |
| Smoking,
excessive exposure to the sun's ultraviolet radiation, poor
health habits and life style are notorious for making a person
look older than his or her chronological years. Unfortunately,
these alterations are not reversible when one eliminates these
factors. Modern
cosmetic surgery can, to some degree, reverse the signs of aging
and exposure. One can definitely turn back the clock, and although
the aging process continues, it can mean looking younger than
ones contemporaries. And, the younger one is when these procedures
are performed, the more years of benefit one can enjoy. |
