Facial
features out of proportion with the rest of the face
can truly affect how you perceive your appearance. Those
facial features can be resculpted or enhanced to some
degree to bring that particular region into alignment
with others. An obvious example is a chin that is set
too far back (receding or weak ) or forward (jutting).
An example of the latter condition is the famous Hapsburg
chin that was passed down from generation to generation
in the dynasty that dominated Europe for at least five
centuries. Court artists of the time clearly (and bravely)
show the inheritance of that famous royal trait in their
portraiture of those all-powerful medieval rulers. |
